I recently moved to a new place and am still settling in. But I am thrilled and excited about moving two states away from my previous home. Though I haven’t had the time to review a book yet, I wanted to share with you all what I am currently reading. Just finished A Hard Day’s Knight by Cate Masters and taking a dive into Tail of the Dragon by Sultry Summers.
Here are the synopsis for each book as shown at Decadent Publishing and a link to an excerpt.
Some days, it’s best to lay low. Lance Knight finds out the hard way – when he encounters his longtime foe, witch Morgan le Fay, at Medieval Merriment. Her curse kept him wandering the world for centuries. When he also meets Gwyn McCartney there through a 1NS date, he’s struck by her resemblance to his true love, Guinevere. It gives him hope for the first time in centuries. First, he must face Morgan to break the curse, and he has only one hope: his sword, forged in the fires with Excalibur and imbued with magical powers by Merlin.
Gwyn McCartney’s had it with dating. Her friend’s setup through 1NS with Lance Knight irritates her, especially when Lance acts bored at Medieval Merriment – her employer and greatest fantasy. When a wench threatens Lance – a witch, he says – her fantasy world seems all too real. After Lance kisses her, she knows she has to battle Morgan le Fay. Can she free him, or will she lose him forever to the witch’s curse?
Danielle is ready to challenge the twisting road known as Tail of the Dragon on her Ducati sport bike. Forced to stop because of a violent unpredicted storm, she parks near the dam where the eleven-mile stretch of road begins just as a greater challenge bursts from the weird, purple lightning storm and passes out at her feet. Terrified but entranced by the dragon turned to a handsome, incredibly built, and very naked man, she feels compelled to help him.
A changeling banished from his own time, Garnith bursts into the twenty-first century. When he hits a power line, he changes to human form and passes out. He awakens to see a beautiful woman in body hugging leather. Where and when is this strange place the wizard’s spell has cast him?
Destiny has played her hand and soon Danielle and Garnith learn the evil wizard has found them and intends to exact revenge and steal a dragon’s power. Llud will use any means to gain his ends unless timeless love and a dose of good magic can stop him.
Both titles are published by Decadant Publishing and are the first books I have read from this publishing house. Anyone read books from them? Any you recommend?
