Catching up on Reading

Every so often I will post the books I am currently reading. Thought it was about time I posted a more recent one, January being the last time. Here are the two books I am tackling at the moment. Both of these authors had a recent book release and I wanted to start with their older works and work my way up.

The Canticle Kingdom is once again in peril as an old evil resurfaces, stronger than ever before. Johann, Brigitta, and many others return in this exciting sequel from Michael Young, author of The Canticle Kingdom and prequel The Canticle Prelude. Discover once again a world full of magic, danger, loyalty, and bravery, as they take on this new threat to save their home, other magical kingdoms yet unknown to them, and even our own world in post-World War II era Germany, England, and across the very skies.

TouchedbyDarkness After seven years on the run, Dr. Kara Cantrell believes she and her son, Alex, are safe. She’s wrong.

Kara settles in the sleepy town of Zorro, Texas, convinced that she and her child have escaped the sinister reach of a supernatural underworld. But the appearance of Damien Morgan, a dangerous, alluring man with superhuman abilities, upends her quiet existence.

Damien realizes that Alex is a fledgling Sentinel, and Kara is a matched, psychic conductor for him. She wants nothing to do with him, refusing to revisit the hell she experienced seven years ago. But she has no choice, as her son is projecting his abilities, leaving him vulnerable to unseen forces. Not only that, but someone—or something—is murdering people in Zorro.

Kara is forced to work with Damien, tapping into a mystical link that triggers desires both of them must ignore. But as they work together to protect her son, and to track the killer, evil stalks them, reaching out—with the touch . . . of darkness.

Touched by Darkness is currently free!

It is good to read several different genres and if you have been reading my past ‘Catching up on Reading’ posts you know I tend to jump from one genre to the next. Look forward to reviews on these books once I finish and finally catch up on other book reviews I still need to write.

And as always, feel free to share with us what books you are reading.
