La Breithe by Kendall Grey
Great story, very intriguing and stellar ending.
Last Night in Vegas by Amelia James
Steamy and witty. Greatly written and quite enjoyable. The only story that has an erotic and romance theme to it. Yet this story was much more than just another erotic story, it was a tale of starting over, starting anew when the world is at an end.
A Starshot in Hell by Angela Kulig
Short and confusing due to its unexpected length. Had hoped it would have been longer. There was so much left unanswered.
Whimper by Morgan McCoy
More confusing due to the manner it was written. A combination of memories expressed as flashbacks and short story segments that slowly start to form the interesting story the synopsis promised. If you can get past the style, there is much to grasp.
Destroyer of Worlds by Dennis Sharpe
Long but well worth the read. Great stir of emotions and heart-wrenching. It did leave me wondering if I should lick a penny to find out how it tastes.
Such Sinners We Are by Ron Vitale
This story was written in a form of a letter so it didn’t leave much room for ‘show don’t tell’. I wish it had been broken into segments, showing some action and description of what the sister was thinking while reading the letter. Interesting story, really enjoyed how he portrayed the villains.
Hope you enjoyed this review, the layout was a little different since it was an anthology. Great read and a pretty good collection of stories from authors I hadn’t heard of. Looking forward to reading more of their works.
The Creative Writer’s Survival Guide by John McNally is next.
